New York is one of the nation's most diverse cities. Unfortunately, it is also ranked among our nation's most hyper-segregated cities. NCCJ's special events provide opportunities for diverse individuals to come together, often for the first time, on common ground to address the harmful impact of racism and prejudice in our schools, neighborhoods and workplaces.

Special events are an essential element of NCCJ's community outreach and fundraising efforts to build bridges of understanding and respect across cultural divides. Our goal is to provide respectful environments in which even the most difficult conversations about injustice both locally and globally can take place. NCCJ also takes pride in hosting fun and exciting events that provide participants with venues to celebrate the contributions that diverse communities have made to advance social justice.

School Based Initiatives

NCCJ engages public, private and charter schools in programs that develop a better understanding of the harmful impact of stereotypes and discrimination that can lead to violence on campus. NCCJ works with students to implement youth-led programs which focus on leadership development, strategic planning, and problem solving.

Community Initiatives

NCCJ is positioned to bring various segments of our society together to explore the value and richness of community building and advocacy. NCCJ is not a single constituency group and believes strongly that in our increasingly diverse populations, common ground does exist. Regardless of race, religion or culture, education, family life, and social justice are integral components of the quality of life we all enjoy.

Dinners & Fundraisers

NCCJ relies on the generosity of its donors to sustain and expand its services. Each year NCCJ hosts dinners and special fundraising events to generate revenues for our programs.
