| The National Conference for Community and Justice of Greater New York (NCCJ) was established in 1984 to provide diversity and inclusion programs and services in the five boroughs, Long Island, and Westchester County. In 2005, NCCJ branched off from the National Office of NCCJ to become an independent 501c3. This new organizational structure allows NCCJ to devote 100% of its contributions to programs that are conducted in Greater New York area. The scope of NCCJ's work includes school based and city-wide initiatives that explore and educate participants on the dynamics of oppression, intergroup relations, cross-cultural communications, conflict management and resolution, facilitator training, outcome-driven dialogue, staff development and interfaith relations. NCCJ's staff is the organization's most valuable asset. These individuals are talented, skilled leaders working everyday to design, implement and evaluate programs that ultimately build more inclusive social, learning, and work environments. NCCJ's Board of Directors is made up of corporate professionals and community leaders that are dedicated to advancing the mission of NCCJ. They are the life line of the organization and responsible for sustaining and developing the organization's capacity to deliver quality services. This mission of NCCJ is one that embarks on tackling America's "unfinished business" in addressing the legacy of racism in our nation. Our mission engages individuals from all segments of our society in taking individual and collective actions that promote equity and fairness. |
